Storming to Success!

Faith Ministries, Inc., will be launching a youth development and life skills training imitative that will also include an AAU basketball component for girls and boys, age 16 and under beginning in July, 2012. We are currently soliciting both corporate and individual sponsorship for this economic and community development project.  The focus will be to provide eligible local youth with other positive options during the summer months. All participating youth will be required to complete a community service project as part of their participation requirements.  The boys and girls AAU teams will be part of the Storming for Success Summer Youth Development Program and will be known as the "Shelby Storm" AAU basketball team.  Storming for success will emphasize three areas of youth development: academic enrichment, life skills, and job-seeking skills training.

Sessions are conducted by former NBA and college players about the value of participating in AAU sports. Local and area leaders will speak to participants about job-seeking skills, developing good work and academic study habits, effectively dealing with peer pressure, proper etiquette at home and in the community, as well as several other empowerment sessions.

Individual sponsorship may range from $100 to $250, while corporate sponsorship are being sought beginning at $500 upward. FMInc. recognizes the critical need for monetary donations, laptop computers, office space and equipment, transportation (vans), and rent-free or low cost building space.  Will you consider helping us in this effort?  It will be greatly appreciated!
